| Abstract: | To explore the effects of electroplanting effluent on the human health,the chromium(Cr 6+ ) levels of the samples,such as groundwater,soil,wheat,cabbage,tomatoes,blood,urine and hair of the population in the four areas which were located in upper and lower reaches of the ground water in the site of works were examined.The results showed that the samples, such as groundwater,soil,wheats,cabbage and tomatoes were polluted by chromium (Cr 6+ ).The more closer the location to the works was,the more serious the pollution was.The chromiun (Cr 6+ ) levels of blood,urine and hair exceeded the normal values respectively in population.On the other hand,it also indicated that the Cr 6+ levels in biological materials might be taken as the biological indicators reflecting the hazardous affects of environmental Cr 6+ pollution on the human health |
