干细胞治疗骨质疏松症的可能与可行

背景:药物治疗骨质疏松并不理想,近年来越来越多的科学家尝试采用干细胞移植方法治疗骨质疏松症。目的:旨在探究通过干细胞治疗骨质疏松的进展,以促进其临床应用。方法:由第一作者应用计算机检索PubMed、中国期刊全文数据库(CNKI)1997-05/2011-10相关文献。在标题、摘要、关键词中以"stem cell,osteoporosis,bone metabolism,osteoporosisbone marrow mesenchymal stem cells(BMMSCs),Adipose-derived stem cells(ADSCs)或"干细胞,骨质疏松,骨代谢,骨髓间充质干细胞,脂肪源干细胞"为检索词进行检索。选择文章内容与干细胞治疗骨质疏松有关者,同一领域文献则选择近期发表在权威杂志文章。结果与结论:初检得到144篇文献,根据纳入标准选择50篇文献进行综述。应用干细胞治疗骨质疏松主要是通过增加成骨细胞的数量来达到治疗目的,常用的方法有干细胞移植及诱导干细胞分化。干细胞可以从根本上治疗骨质疏松,并且能避免药物治疗的毒副作用,具有广阔应用前景。

Stem cells treatment for osteoporosis: Possibility and feasibility

BACKGROUND: Treatment of osteoporosis with drug is not ideal. In recent years, more and more scientists try to use stem cells to treat osteoporosis.OBJECTIVE: To explore the treatment for stem cells on osteoporosis in order to promote its clinical application.METHODS: A computer-based online search of PubMed database and CNKI database between May 1997 and October 2011 was performed to search related articles with the Key words of "stem cell, osteoporosis, bone metabolism, osteoporosisbone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMMSCs), Adipose-derived stem cells (ADSCs)" in English or in Chinese. Literatures related to treatment for stem cells on osteoporosis were selected; in the same field, the articles published lately in authoritative journals were preferred.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: A total of 144 literatures were primarily selected, and 50 documents were involved for summary according to inclusion criteria. The treatment for stem cells on osteoporosis was mainly by increasing the number of osteoblasts. Commonly used methods were stem cells transplantation and induced the differentiation of stem cells. Stem cells treatment which has broad application prospects is an essential way for the treatment of osteoporosis, and it can avoid the side effects of drug therapy.
