Abstract:An in vitro assessment was made of the ability of three chelating agents used in endodontics to alter the dye penetration of dentinal tubules from the root canal surface. The experiment and control for this study were within the same root. It was found that all three agents significantly reduced the dye penetration into dentin, but there was no difference among the agents in the degree of reduction of dye penetration.
