| Abstract: | Pneumothorax may occur spontaneously or result from underlying lung disease or as a complication of interventional thoracic procedures. Percutaneous catheter placement enables safe and effective drainage of pneumothoraces with rapid relief of symptoms and restoration of vital capacity and oxygenation. |
