Clinical effect of Guiqi Sijunzi Decoction combined with the Tiaoren Anshen acupuncture therapy in the treatment of insomnia with the syndrome of both the heart and spleen deficiency

Objective To observe the clinical effect of Guiqi Sijunzi Decoction combined with the Tiaoren Anshen acupuncture therapy in the treatment of insomnia with the syndrome of both the heart and spleen deficiency.Methods A total of 108 patients with the disease treated in our hospital from June 2019 to June 2020 were randomly divided into a control group and a treatment group,with 54 cases in each group.The control group was treated with the Tiaoren Anshen acupuncture therapy,while the treatment group was treated with Guiqi Sijunzi Decoction combined with the acupuncture therapy.The therapeutic effects,sleep quality,clinical indexes and TCM symptom scores of the two groups were compared.Results After 4 weeks of treatment,the effective rate in the treatment group was 96.30%,significantly higher than 81.48% in the control group (P<0.05).The Pittsburgh sleep quality index (PSQI) score in the treatment group was significantly lower than that in the control group (P<0.05).The levels of interleukin-6 (IL-6) and dopamine (DA) in the treatment group were significantly lower than those in the control group,while the levels of 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT) and γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) were significantly higher (P<0.05).The scores of dreaminess,easy awakening,fatigue,forgetfulness,dizziness,pale tongue and weak pulse in the treatment group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion Guiqi Sijunzi Decoction combined with the Tiaoren Anshen acupuncture therapy is effective in the the treatment of insomnia with the syndrome of both the heart and spleen deficiency.It can not only effectively improve the sleep quality of patients,but also improve the clinical indexes and alleviate the TCM symptoms,which is worthy of clinical promotion.
