Abstract:
Summary Two clinical cases of sinuso-orbital tumors invading the skull base are described. The treatment consists of wide resection of the tumor by a combined orbital and intracranial approach in two sessions. Primary reconstruction of the skull base and of the orbital region is performed during the first operation with a free latissimus dorsi myocutaneous flap. The aims of this approach are to obtain integrity of the subdural space and to mask the surgical mutilation.
