Abstract: | Antibacterial activity of crude drug from the tree bark of T. arjuna was tested against bacteria using the hole-plate diffusion method with concentrations of 5–25 mg/ml. The effective results of bacterial activity were confirmed by the dilution method (1.25–20 mg/ml) in MIC. The above results were supported by phytochemical analysis. Specific activity against pathogenic bacterium, Bacillus subtilis and Staphyloccus aureus, confirm the traditional usage of bark of T. arjuna. |
