| Abstract: | Objective To investigate the effect and significance of mgnesium(Mg) on QT dispersion(QTd) in the patient with congestive heart failure(CHF). Method Ninety patients with CHF were randomly divided into 2 groups:Mg group (treatment group;n=48)and control group(n=42).In the treatment group,patient were intravenously dripped in a close of 5 groam Mg each day for 2 weeks. In the control group,patientts were conventionally treated the same as those patients of treatment group besides Mg. The serum Mg level,the QTd and occurance of VPB and VT were determined through the course of treatment in all patients. Result The authors found that serum Mg level was increased,QTd decreased and occurance of VPB and VT were diminished markedly (all P<0.01) in Mg group,while there was no significant difference in control group .The Mg group had its significant difference in contrast to the control group(P<0.01). Conclusion Mg has its obvious function of reducing QTd and diminishing occurance of VPB and VT in patients with CHF. [ |
