| Abstract: | Analysis of clinical and immunologic parallels in 200 patients with chronic pancreatitis has revealed that lymphocyte autosensitization to pancreatic tissue in the lymphocyte blastogenesis test (LBGT) is in high correlation with the frequency of the disease recurrences, and the severity of pancreatic exocrine insufficiency with the immune complex level. This permits recommending LBGT with pancreatic tissue antigen for the prediction of the condition recurrences, and measurements of the immune complexes level for the prediction of the developing exocrine pancreatic insufficiency. |
