Abstract: | Objective To explore the significance of the promotion and application of 2015 edition cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR) among junior middle school students. Methods In March 2017,108 and 109 junior middle school students were randomly selected from 2 township junior middle schools in our city respectively, which were named School A and School B respectively; another 108 and 109 junior middle school students were randomly selected from 2 junior middle schools in our city proper respectively, which were named School C and School D respectively. From each of the 4 schools,3 backbone teachers were selected, instructed and trained. The selected backbone teachers gave periodic training guidance to the junior middle school students from their schools. The junior middle school students from School A and School C were trained once every 3 months, while the junior middle school students from School B and School D were trained once every 2 months, and all the junior middle school students from the 4 schools kept being trained for 1 year. The CPR related knowledge and the level of skilled operation of the junior middle school students from the 4 schools before and after training were assessed. The backbone teachers of their respective schools scored the CPR skills assessment, and unified live scenes were constructed for conducting live simulation assessment among the junior middle school students from the 4 schools. Results Compared with before CPR training, the mastery rate of the CPR related knowledge and the CPR first aid skills of the 434 junior middle school students increased significantly after they received the training(P<0.05).After receiving CPR training, compared with the junior middle school students from School A,the junior middle school students from School B and School C gained higher scores in the CPR skills assessment; compared with the junior middle school students from School B and School C,the junior middle school students from School D gained higher scores in the CPR skills assessment(P<0.05).After receiving CPR training, compared with the junior middle school students from School A,the junior middle school students from School B and School C had lower compression frequency and greater compression depth; compared with the junior middle school students from School B and School C,the junior middle school students from School D had lower compression frequency and greater compression depth(P<0.05).Conclusion Through the standardized training of CPR for junior middle school students, their mastery rate of the CPR related theoretical knowledge is further increased, their practical operation levels are improved to a certain extent, and their compression frequency and the levels of their compression depth are changed greatly. |
