Abstract:Objective To investigate the curative effect of argon plasma coagulation(APC)combined with high-frequency radio-wave electrosurgery and cryotherapy(triple therapy)in treatment of patients with tracheal stenosis.Methods In this study,80 patients with tracheal stenosis were recruited and randomly divided into the observation group(n=40)and the control group(n=40).The observation group was treated with APC,high-frequency radio-wave electrosurgery and cryotherapy,while the control group was treated with high-frequency radio-wave electrosurgery alone.The patients in both groups were observed for the therapeutic effect,blood gas indexes,dyspnea severity and tracheal stenosis grading before and after treatment,and postoperative complications.Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 92.5%,with a 95%confidence interval(79.6%~98.4%),while the control group had a total effective rate of 72.5%with a 95%confidence interval(56.1%~85.4%).The total effective rate was higher in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05).Compared with the control group,the observation group had a greater improvement in the values of PO2 and SaO2 after treatment,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,there were significant differences in dyspnea classification and tracheal stenosis grading between the two groups(all P<0.05),and the improvement in the observation group was more pronounced.The incidence of postoperative complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group,but there was no statistical difference(P>0.05).Conclusion The triple therapy of APC combined with high-frequency radio-wave electrosurgery and cryotherapy could effectively resolve tracheal stenosis,improve patients′pulmonary function,but could not increase postoperative complications in patients with tracheal stenosis.Therefore,the triple therapy has a wide range clinical application.
