Abstract:Objective To explore the relationship between neutrophil/lymphocyte(NLR),monocyte/lymphocyte ratio(MRL)and type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)combined with coronary heart disease(CHD),and to evaluate the pathogenic risk and predictive value of NLR and MRL on T2DM combined with CHD.Methods A total of 193 patients with T2DM who underwent coronary angiography(CAG)from January 2018 to December 2018 were selected from our hospital.According to CAG results,the patients with combined CHD were divided into research group(n=132)and those without combined CHD were set as control group(n=61).The numbers of monocytes,lymphocytes,and neutrophils were measured in all patients,and MLR and NLR were calculated;biochemical parameters were recorded in all patients;coronary imaging characteristics were recorded in all patients,and Gensini score was calculated.Correlation of MLR,NLR and Gensini score was analyzed using Spearman correlation analysis.Receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve was used to analyze the diagnostic value of MLR NLR on T2DM combined with CHD.Logstic regression analysis was used to investigate the influencing factors of T2DM combined with CHD.Results MLR and NLR were higher in the research group than in the control group,with statistically significant differences(P<0.01).Spearman correlation analysis showed positive correlation between NLR and MLR levels and Gensini score(P<0.01).ROC curve analysis showed that the area under the curve of NLR and MLR in diagnosing T2DM with CHD was 0.709 and 0.649 respectively(P<0.05).When the critical values of NLR and MLR were 2.940 and 0.205 respectively,the diagnostic efficiency of T2DM with CHD was the highest,and the sensitivity and specificity were 65.9%,67.5%and 80.3%,46.8%,respectively.Logstic regression analysis showed that smoking,low-density lipoprotein cholesterol≥3.640 mmol/L,MLR≥0.205,and NLR≥2.940 were independent risk factors for T2DM with CHD(P<0.05 or P<0.01).Conclusion NLR and MLR are positively correlated with the severity of coronary artery lesions in T2DM with CHD,and MLR≥0.205 and NLR≥2.940 are independent risk factors for T2DM patients with CHD,which have predictive values for T2DM combined with CHD.
