Abstract: | Objective To investigate the status quo of nursing occupational safety education in higher vocational colleges,and to provide reference for the reform and improvement of nursing occupational safety education and teaching.Methods 8 nursing teachers in a higher vocational college,5 clinical tutoring teachers in practice hospitals and 16 nursing students in practice from May 2020 to June 2020 were conducted by semi structured interviews on the status quo of nursing occupational safety education according to the qualitative research method.Colaizzi seven-step analysis method was used to analyze the interview data.Results They were analyzed and refined into three themes,in which were (1)Higher vocational nursing students were not interested in learning nursing occupational safety knowledge; (2)The impacting factors of occupational safety behavior of nursing students in higher vocational colleges mainly included teachers'' teaching ability,nursing students'' level (learning ability,social ability,clinical nursing skill proficiency,gender,etc.) and internship working environment; (3)Vocational nursing occupational safety education was deficient.Conclusion Vocational nursing occupational safety education needs further research.Based on the learning requirements of higher vocational nursing students,courses should be set up scientifically,so as to improve their occupational protection ability. |
