Haemoglobin D Iran: β₂22 Glutamic Acid→Glutamine (B4)

Abstract:	A new haemoglobin D (Iran) has been described. The substitution was in the beta chain at residue 22 (B₄), which is the most frequently mutated area in human haemoglobin. No clinical symptoms were associated with this haemoglobin.
