| Abstract: | 3-[(Methyl-1-naphthylmethyl)amino]-1,2-epoxypropane was prepared by reaction of N-methy-1-naphthylmethylamine with epichlorohydrin at room temperature in methanol to give 1-chloro-3-[methyl-1-naphthylmethyl)amino]-2-propanol followed by epoxidation in 50%KOH solution - THF with an overall yield of 83%. |
