Effect of Thymomodulin on luteinizing hormone, prolactin and testosterone in male rats.

Abstract:The effect of Thymomodulin (TMD), a calf thymus derivative, on luteinizing hormone, prolactin and testosterone was studied in male rats after acute and chronic treatment. The results showed that the stimulatory action on prolactin and testosterone secretion after acute (prolactin) or one month chronic (testosterone) treatments completely vanished during six month chronic administration. No effect was observed on luteinizing hormone after acute or chronic treatment.
