Clinical Research of Fu Needling in Treatment of Lumbodorsal Myofascial Pain Syndrome

Objective:To research the clinical effect of Fu Needling(FSN)to treat lumbodorsal myofascial pain syndrome.Methods:70 cases with lumbodorsal myofascial pain syndrome were selected and divided into two groups according to the principle of randomized control,with 35 cases in each group.The observation group was treated with Fu Needling,and the control group was treated with regular acupuncture.The treatment effect,TCM syndrome scores,pain degree,lumbar dysfunction level,sleep quality,soft tissue tension,Superficial electromyography characteristics of the pain side of the lumbar core muscles,improvement of life quality,and clinical efficacy were compared between the two groups before and after treatment.Results:The effective rate of the observation group was 97.14%(34/35),and the control group was 82.86%(29/35).The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,the observation group′s region soreness score,muscle stiffness score,numbness and weakness score,fatigue score were significantly higher than those of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);And the numeric rating scale(NRS)score,roland-morris dysfunction questionnaire(RMDQ)score,Oswestry disability index(ODI)score,Pittsburgh sleep quality index(PSQI)scores of the cases in the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);And the force-displacement distance(FDD)and erector spinae FDD of the observation group were notably higher than control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);The median frequency(MF)of the pain side of the iliac ribs and longissimus muscles the observation group was significantly higher than control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);Also,the observation group had higher physical function scores,psychological function scores,social function score and better material life status score than those of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:In treating lumbodorsal myofascial pain syndrome,Fu Needling is preferred over regular acupuncture,and can relieve the patient′s lumbar dysfunction,soft tissue tension,and muscle fatigue,and eventually improve the life quality.
