Abstract:Objective:To observe the effect of flavonoids from Dendrobium officinale in aging mice induced by D-galactose.Methods:Kunming mice were randomly divided into 6 groups:the control group,the model group,the ascorbic acid(100 mg·kg^-1)group as well as Dendrobium officinale flavonoids high and low(400 mg·kg^-1,200 mg·kg^-1).Except for the control group,the other groups were subcutaneously injected with 5%D-galactose for 6 weeks to establish the subacute senescent model.Then put mice to death and determined the activity of superoxide dismutase(SOD),total antioxidant capacity(T-AOC),and content of monochrome display adapter(MDA)in serum with ELISA.SOD,catalase(CAT),ATP activity,and hydroxyproline(HYP),lipofuscin(LF),type I and type III collagen content in the skin of mice was also determined.And the thymus,spleen,liver,and kidney were removed and weighed to detect organ index.Results:Compared with the model group,each flavonoids from Dendrobium group can increase the SOD,T-AOC,and ATP activity levels in the serum and skin of the model animals to varying degrees,reduce the activity of CAT and the content of MDA in serum.It also increases the content of HYP,typeⅠandⅢcollagen in the skin,and reduce the content of LF,at the same time,increases the thymus,spleen,and kidney organ indexes of model animals and decrease the organ indexes of the liver(P<0.05;P<0.01).Conclusion:The flavonoids from Dendrobium officinale have a certain protective effect on the mice skin aging model.
