Analysis of the effect of internal fixation in the treatment of ankle joint fractures combined with inferior tibiofibular ligament injury

Objective To analyze the clinical effect of internal fixation in the treatment of ankle joint fractures combined with inferior tibiofibular ligament injury.Methods A total of 48 patients with ankle joint fractures combined with inferior tibiofibular ligament injury were divided into observation group(odd number)and control group(even number)according to the odd and even number of the final number of admission,with 24 cases in each group.The observation group was treated with internal fixation,and the control group was treated with conservative treatment after joint reduction.The fracture healing effect,occurrence of complications and visual analogue scale(VAS)score before and after treatment were compared between the two groups.Results The excellent rate of fracture healing of the observation group was 95.83%,which was obviously higher than 66.67%of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of complications of the observation group was 4.17%,which was obviously lower than 33.33%of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Before treatment,there was no statistically significant difference in VAS score between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment,the VAS score of the two groups were lower than those before treatment,and the VAS score(2.13±0.34)points of the observation group was lower than(3.46±0.71)points of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Internal fixation can effectively improve the treatment effect of patients with ankle joint fractures combined with inferior tibiofibular ligament injury,improve the impact of complications on patients,and reduce pain.It is a good treatment regimen.
