Progress in angiographic embolization of hemodynamically unstable pelvic fractures

The mortality rate of pelvis fracture with hemodynamic instability is more than 30%,and the main cause of death is bleeding or bleeding related complications.Early and effective control of bleeding is the key to successful rescue.Angiographic embolization is an important technique for the treatment of hemodynamically unstable pelvic fractures.Combined with injury-controlled resuscitation,pelvic band,external fixation stent,extraperitoneal tamping and resuscitation intra-aortic balloon occlusion can further improve the success rate of rescue.This article reviews the application of angiography embolization in the treatment of hemodynamically unstable pelvic fractures in order to provide some reference for clinicians in the treatment of hemodynamically unstable pelvic fractures.
