Study on the effectiveness of Pranoprofen combined with sodium hyaluronate eye drops in the treatment of dry eye patients after cataract phacoemulsification

Objective To explore the effectiveness of pranoprofen combined with sodium hyaluronate eye drops in the treatment of dry eye patients after cataract phacoemulsification. Methods 68 patients with dry eye after phacoemulsification in our hospital from January 2018 to December 2019 were selected as the research subjects, and they were divided into observation group and control group according to random number method, with 34 cases in each group. The control group was treated with sodium hyaluronate eye drops alone, and the observation group was treated with pranoprofen eye drops on the basis of the control group. The clinical efficacy, dry eye symptom score, tear film rupture time, corneal fluorescein staining score and Schirmer test were compared between the two groups. Results Before treatment, the total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05). Before treatment, there was no significant difference in dry eye symptom scores between the two groups;after 1, 2 and 4 weeks of treatment, the dry eye symptom scores of the two groups were lower than those before treatment, and the observation group was lower than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). Before treatment, there was no significant difference in tear film rupture time, corneal fluorescein staining score and Schirmer test between the two groups;after treatment, the tear film breakup time, corneal fluorescein staining score, and Schirmer test after treatment in the two groups were better than before treatment, the observation group were better than those of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). During the treatment period of the two groups,no obvious adverse reactions occurred. Conclusion Praprofen combined with sodium hyaluronate eye drops in the treatment of dry eyes after cataract phacoemulsification has significant clinical effect and significantly improves the symptom score of dry eyes. It is worthy of clinical application.
