Abstract: | Human papillomavirus (HPV) is the most common sexually transmitted infection, affecting more than 6.2 million individuals every year. Most new infections occur in adolescents and young adults shortly after the onset of sexual activity. Nurse practitioners play a key role in preventing HPV infection in teens through adolescent-friendly HPV education, prevention, and vaccination. |
