Docetaxel combined with capecitabine and leucovorin for advanced gastric cancer: Clinical analysis of 87 cases

Objective： To observe the efficacy and and leucovorin for patients with advanced gastric gastric cancer that admitted to our hospital during cancer. toxicity of Methods： December 2006 docetaxel combining with capecitabine A total of 87 patients with advanced September 2009, and can＇t tolerate to surgery or had recurrence of cancer were treated with docetaxel （50 mg/m2 , dl,8,15）, leucovorin （200 mg/ m2 , d1-3）, capecitabine （1 250 mg/m2 per day, and orally taken twice daily, d1-14, 28 consisted a course, and efficacy and toxicity was evaluated after treatment of 3 courses. Results： A total of 87 patients showed partial remission （PR）, 21 were stable （SD）, while 13 showed progress disease （PD）, showing a total total efficiency （CR ＋ PR） of 60. 9%, and disease control rate （DCR） of 85.1%. The median survival time （MST） of these patients were 9.1 months, one year survival rate was 24.1%. During the whole courses,no severe adverse reaction was observed. Conclusions. vorin shows obvious effects on advanced gastric cancer. reactions, thus is worth for application in large scale.
