| Abstract: | Summary Influenza C virus has been found to cause pH-dependent hemolysis and fusion of chicken erythrocytes. For these activities, treatment of the virus with proteolytic enzymes, e.g., trypsin and elastase which were known to cause cleavage of gp88 was specifically required.With 1 Figure |
