| Abstract: | A simple, efficient protocol for the preparation of α‐labeled aldehydes based on H/D exchange catalyzed by 4‐(N,N‐dimethylamino)pyridine or Et3N is described. High chemical yields and ratios of isotope incorporation were obtained even when small amounts (～1 mmol) of aldehyde were used. Copyright © 2010 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd. |
