Abstract: | Prostatic cancer was the first malignancy in which tumor markers could be used to follow the response to therapy or progression of the prostate cancer. The use of these tumor markers has been of significant clinical value in diagnosis and follow-up of patients. Over the years, significant technical improvements have been made on the sensitivity and specificity of the assays for prostatic acid phosphatase. |
