Abstract:Objective To explore the efect of a portable intravenous visualizer in intravenous infusion under faint light.Methods In the autumn of 2019,a total of 302 pre selected medical Non commissioned Officers(NCOs)were randomly divided into the control group(n=150)and the observation group(n=152).The control group used conventional intravenous indwelling needle puncture method,while the observation group conducted the punc-ture with the portable intravenous visualizer.The one-time puncture success rate and time of the puncture were compared between using and without using the portable intravenous visualizer under sufficient natural light and battlefield-simulated faint light.Results Under sufficient natural light,with the portable intravenous visualizer the one-time puncture success rate of the observation group didn’t improve significantly(P>0.05),while the time of the puncture of the observation group improved significantly(P<0.05).With the portable intravenous visualizer,both groups'one time puncture success rate and the time of the puneture improved significantly under battlefield-simulated faint light(all P<0.05).Conclusions The application of the portable intravenous visualizer can reduce the time of the puncture in two scenes,improve the one-time puncture success rate under battlefield-simulated faint light,and obviously improve the training effect.
