| Abstract: | Human herpesvirus 8 has been implicated in the pathogenesis of a limited subset of lymphoproliferative disorders in adults, but its role in children is unclear. A prospective evaluation of children with atypical lymphocytosis residing in the Hualien area, where the incidence of adult Kaposi sarcoma is high, revealed 3 cases caused by human herpesvirus 8. |
