| Abstract: | Lactose absorption occurs in the duodenum and proximal jejunum, maltose in the jejunum and proximal ileum, and sucrose in the distal jejunum and ileum. Very little hydrolysis of these disaccharides occurs in the intestinal lumen of man. |
