Abstract: | This article presents the results of a research study that investigated factors that explain why some women perceive their pregnancies in a positive manner. Using an inductive method of investigation, the researchers found a salient concept that emerged from the data. This concept, termed “adjusted control,”; provides one explanation for why some women see their pregnancies positively. The analytic process employed in delineating the concept is described. |
