Treatment of intestinal amebiasis with paromomycin

Summary Results are presented on the effect of paromomycin on chronic intestinal amebiasis in 35 patients. Thirty-four (97.1%) were free of parasites after a single 12-day treatment; 14 were followed for 3 months, and 20 for 6 months.
