Technique of Mitral Valve Replacement |

| Abstract: | A technique for mitral valve replacement is described that provides adequate exposure for excision of the valve and secure suturing of the annulus, even in patients with a small left atrium. The technique has been used in more than 100 patients and has resulted in only a minimal amount of perivalvular leak. |
