Relevant Research on Occupational Stress and Life Satisfaction of the Nurses

Objective To investigate the occupational stress and their conditions of life satisfaction of the nurses,and to explore the characteristics of occupational stress,life satisfaction of the nurses,and the mutual relations of them,to provide a theoretical reference for improving the occupational stress states and life satisfaction of the nursing staff in Tangshan area.Methods Based on the analysis of the existing literature,168 nurses were questioned and made a correlation analysis by Life Satisfaction Questionnaire and Occupational Stress Scale for nurses.Results The occupational stress perceived by the nurses was（23.94±5.25）,which was slightly lower than the theoretical average（25）;life satisfaction was（13.56±3.54）,which was slightly lower than the theoretical average（15）;the occupational stress and life satisfaction of different department of nurses had a significant negative correlation;the life satisfaction of the nurses had significant negative correlations with overall pressure score,nursing profession and work,workload and time distribution,work environment and resources,and patient care.Conclusion The nurses bore a medium-range pressure,and the overall life satisfaction is low.Their occupational stress has an impact on life satisfaction,and has a predictable effects on it.
