| Abstract: | The types and characterizations of ionic liquid are described, with emphasis on the synthesis and properties of alkyl imidazolium such as 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate([bmim]BF4). The applications of [bmim]BF4 in the organic reactions for drug synthesis including hydrolysis, oxidation, condensation and cyclization are reviewed. |
