Eosinophile franulocyten in der efflorescenz bei psoriasis und neurodermitis constitutionalis (atopische dermatitis)

Zusammenfassung Eosinophile Granulocyten (EGr) werden selektiv dargestellt mit der Methode von Leder bzw. mit dem Verfahren von Schaefer und Fischer. Untersucht wurden Papeln bei Psoriasis vulgaris, Psoriasis pustulosa, psoriatrischer Erythrodermie und bei Neurodermitis constitutionalis (Endogenes Ekzem, Atopische Dermatitis). Außerdem wurde bei Psoriasis vulgaris der Einfluß der Methotrexatbehandlung auf die Zahl der EGr im Infiltrat kontrolliert. Nur sehr wenige EGr finden sich im Infiltrat der Psoriasis einschließlich der Mikroabscesse in der Hornschicht, selbst bei der Psoriasis pustulosa. Der Eindruck im H.-E. Präparat täuscht.Bei der Neurodermitis constitutionalis liegt der Anteil der EGr im Infiltrat deutlich höher (etwa 2 mal höher in der Cutis). Bei 3 Patienten mit Neurodermitis, bei denen diese erst in späteren Lebensjahren auftrat, war die Zahl der EGr deutlich niedriger als bei Patienten, die von Jugend auf an einer Neurodermitis constitutionalis litten. Die Therapie mit Methotrexat beeinflußte den Anteil der EGr im Infiltrat der Psoriasis nicht signifikant.

Eosinophilic leucocytes in the skin lesions of psoriasis

Summary Using specific techniques (Leder; and Schaefer u. Fischer) we examined the presence of eosinophilic leucocytes (EGr) in sections of various forms of psoriasis, some under treatment with methotrexate. We compared the results with findings in atopic dermatitis. The number of EGr was calculated in proportion to the remaining cells in the relevant section of the horny layer and of the dermis (papillary body, subpapillary dermis).The proportion of eosinophilic leucocytes was found to be considerably smaller than the supposed number seen in H.-E. sections. Also, in psoriasis pustulosa the proportion was relatively small, whereas in the dermis of atopic dermatitis it was 2 times higher. In atopic dermatitis of patients, who acquired the dermatitis as adults, the proportion was lower, although it was possible to examine the tissues of only three such patients. Treatment with methotrexate had no significant influence on the percentage of EGr in the psoriatic infiltrates.
