Changes of Blood Lipids, Glucose and Blood Pressure in Patients with Obstructive Sleep Apnea Hypopnea Syndrome and Their Significance

Objective]To observe the changes of plasma lipid and glucose metabolism and blood pressure in patients with obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome（OSAHS） and their significance. Methods]A total of 92 patients with OSAHS were enrolled in this study. Blood pressure, fasting triglyceride, total choles- terol, high-density lipoprotein cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol and blood glucose were measured. Other 86 healthy controls were selected for the comparative observation. Results]Compared with the control group, fasting triglyceride, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, blood glucose, systolic and diastolic pressure in OSAHS patients obviously increased. There was no difference in total cholesterol between OSAHS patients and the healthy controls. Compared with the control group, high-density lipoprotein cholesterol in OSAHS patients obviously decreased. Blood lipids, blood glucose and blood pressure were not correlated with the severity of OSAHS, but they were correlated with body mass index. Conclusion] The OSAHS patients have the disorders of plasma lipid and glucose metabolism and high blood pressure.
