On the Origin and Evolution of Application of Insect Drug

By investigating the origin of applying insect drug and its application in different historical stages from Qin Han to Ming Qing dynasties, it can be demonstrated that the application of insect drugs is a long developmental process, grown out of nothing quantitatively, a process of from simplicity to comprehension on its therapeutic usage. It is the result of the common endeavour of countless physicians and pharmacologists. Their achievements lay down a solid basis for the further and extensive studies on the pharmacology and clinical application of insect drugs.
