| Abstract: | A novel synthetic method was developed for 3-hydroxyhomoisoflavanone. Treatment of aryllithium14 to aldehyde13 which was obtained from dihydroxylation of10, followed by cycloetherification to give 3-hydroxyhomoisoflavanones. |
