Strategies of nursing management in the rescue of mass casualties in a train accident

This paper introduces the strategies of nursing management in the rescue of mass casualties in a train accident.The key points to ensure timely and effective rescue of mass casualties were implementation of one-to-one nurse responsibility system,adequate nurse staffing and preparations of materials resources,the open of green channel for critically ill patients,proper triage and management of group patients.During the whole rescue process,the implementation of one-to-one nurse responsibility system can promote effective communication and patient identification,guarantee rapid triage,rescue and transport,and ensure patient safety.These strategies effectively improved the hospital’s whole response competence in rescuing mass casualties.
