语境维度下的中医语篇英译探究

翻译应以特定语境下的语篇为基本视角。译者在重构译文语篇时,须考虑原文语篇的语境特征及其制约因素,选择适当的译文处理方式。本文从语境维度分析中医汉语语篇的语境特征,并以具体语篇翻译为例,探讨如何英译符合中医语篇语境的译文语篇。译者须从语境的交际维度把握中医语篇的交际语境,在译文中构建与原文语域一致的交际语境;从语用维度揣摩语篇的语用用意,尽可能对译文进行语用充实;从符号维度分析语篇中各语言符号内容与形式,选择恰当的译语表达方式进行语言符号转换。

Discussion on English Translation of Traditional Chinese Medicine Texts from Perspective of Dimensions of Context

Translation should be studies from the perspective of text in a specific context.Translators should pay attention to the context of the source text and choose appropriate translation methods to reconstruct the target text.On the theoretical foundation of three dimensions of context,this paper aims at analyzing the contextual features of TCM Chinese text and exploring its English translation in a corresponding manner.The paper argues that it is of importance for the translators to understand the communicative context of TCM source text and construct an equivalent register,to figure out its implied meaning in a pragmatic dimension of context and try to make pragmatic enrichment in the target text,to analyze the content and the form of semiotic entities from semiotic dimension and make a semiotic shift by using appropriate target language.
