The Effect of Banxia Xiexin Decoction on 5-hydroxytryptamine and Somatostatin in Patients with Functional Dyspepsia

Objective To investigate the effect of Banxia Xiexin decoction on 5-hydroxytryptamine and somatostatin(SS)in patients with functional dyspepsia.Methods 76 patients with functional dyspepsia admitted to the Fourth Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from June 2019 to March 2020 were randomly divided into experimental group and control group,with 38 cases in neach.The patients in the control group received mosapride citrate tablets,and the experimental group received Banxia Xiexin decoction.2 groups were treated for 4 weeks.The clinical efficacy,main symptom score,5-HT,SS and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results Compared with the control group,the total clinical effective rate of the experimental group was higher(P<0.05),the main symptoms and total score of the experimental group were lower(P<0.05),the levels of5-HT and SS were lower(P<0.05).There was no significant difference between the two groups in the occurrence of adverse reactions(P>0.05).Conclusion Banxia Xiexin decoction has a significant effect in the treatment of functional dyspepsia,which can effectively improve the clinical symptoms.The mechanism may be related to the down-regulation of 5-HT and SS levels,which is conducive to the promotion of rehabilitation.
