β-Sultones, III: The Preparation of 1,2-Oxathietane 2,2-Dioxides (β-Sultones) and Their Reactions with Nucleophiles Some new compounds were added to the as yet small group of β-sultones with hydrogen attached to the ring system. Reactions of these β-sultones with nucleophiles yielding β-hydroxyethanesulfonyl derivatives were investigated.
