| Abstract: | A water extract of Psidium guajava leaves was screened for hypoglycemic activity on alloxan-induced diabetic rats. In both acute and sub-acute tests, the water extract, at an oral dose of 250 mg/kg, showed statistically significant hypoglycemic activity. |
