| Abstract: | A general overview of the literature concerning the development of diabetic neuropathic arthropathy is discussed. A case report is presented dealing with spontaneous fractures of the lesser metatarsal in a patient with an amputated hallux and peripheral neuropathy secondary to diabetes mellitus. |
