History, present status and future of adolescent sex education in China

Obiective To have a comprehensive review of the adolescent sex education in China,analvze the current status,and point out its future direction and strategies.Methods Retrospective study and data collection were conducted.Results The adolescent sex education in China has a long history but sustained rigid incarceration in the feudal society.In the contemporary age,especially since adoption of reform and open policy in China,the sex education has developed rapidly but still fails to meet the actual need of the youth and juveniles for reform.Conclusion The adolescent sex education in China is not only necessary but also an ur- gent social project;it should be pushed forward actively and steadily.
