| Abstract: | Pheochromocytoma is a rare disease in young children. Its early detection is of great importance. It is generally believed that pheochromocytoma in young children has individual characteristics, its clinical manifestations are more evident than in adults and the morbidity development is more rapid than in adults. In children pheochromocytoma might be considered when lasting hypertension is accompanied by paroxymal headache, polyhidrosis, pallor, abdominalgia, nausea and vomiting; by metabolic abnormalities; by not being responsive to antihypertensive drugs; by leukocytosis; and by hypokalemia. |
