Abstract: | High frequency oscillatory ventilation (HFOV) is often used as a rescue strategy for neonatal lung disease. In this article we discuss our experience of using HFOV including basic ventilator settings, optimising HFOV with monitoring and how specific diseases alter management. The article is focussed on ensuring understanding and safe use of HFOV by all neonatal staff. |
