Erythrocyte anomalies in Down's syndrome

It is suggested that anomalies in Down's syndrome /DS/ erythrocyte /E/ features are due to accelerated E aging. This, in turn, can be conditioned by augmented free-radical exposure. Accelerated cell aging in DS may be the reason for immune system derangement.
