Abstract:The level of the serum soluble interleukin-2 receptor(sIL-2R)and the frequency of the T-lymphocite subpopulation(CD4,CD8)were determined by the sandwiched ELISA and alkaline phosphatase-antialkaline phosphatase(APAAP)methods in patients with coronary heart disease(CHD). The results showed that the slL-2R level was significantly higher(P<0.001), the CD4 level and CD4/CD8 ratio significantly lower, and the CD8level significantly higher(P<0.001)in CHD patients than in normals. These abnormalities were more obvious in acute myocardial infarction(AMI)than in unstable angina (UA)and old myocardial infarction(OML), and more obvious in AMI patients who died within a week of hospitalization than in the survivals(P<0.001). These results indicate that the serum sIL-2R level and the T-lymphocyte subpopulation are closely related to the patient's condition and the prognosis of the disease.
