| Abstract: | Circular RNAs(circRNAs)are one of long non-coding RNAs with covalently closed loops.CircRNAs are widely found in eukaryotic cells and have stable structure.CircRNAs can be used as a molecular sponge of microRNAs(miRNAs)to participate in gene post-transcriptional regulation,and can also interact with a variety of proteins to regulate gene transcription and protein translation.Accumulating studies have shown that circRNAs are closely related to the occurrence and development of colorectal cancer,and is expected to provide new molecular markers and targets for the diagnosis and treatment of colorectal cancer.In this review,we briefly summarized the formation,biological function and research progress of circRNAs in colorectal cancer and aimed at providing a new target for early diagnosis and treatment of colorectal cancer. |
